Breastfeeding Support

WIC mothers are encouraged to breastfeed their infants as the preferred method of infant feeding unless there is a medical reason not to breastfeed.  All WIC staff are trained to promote and support breastfeeding, to help mothers and infants have a successful feeding experience. The goal is to make breastfeeding the norm in infant feeding practices and to provide breastfeeding information, education, and support to pregnant and breastfeeding women.
